Text Edit - A simple free replacement for Notepad

Use at your own risk. Editing files by hand can cause irreversible damage. Always make backups.

Text edit is designed to be a full replacement of notepad, but with multiple windows allowing drag and drop between those windows.

It requires only the files below, all placed in the same directory.

It now supports the send to command, so if you want to have it accept a file by right click the file and choosing send to text edit, then put a shortcut to the textedit program in the send to folder.

This program is freeware. Distribution in any form is illegal. You may link to this page from your own site.
